Skype!

It was great to meet all of you last night!  Skype is lots of fun!  I hope the blog and our talk last night was helpful!  My next post will be about classroom management and then once I get the other teachers responses, I will post them also.   Please, let me know if there is anything else you would like to know about.  I am by no means an expert, but I can at least share what I've learn so far.  Seeing and talking to all of you made me really miss my college days;-)  Well, except the work! lol

I am also working on a list of websites that are helpful or that I use for lesson plans and technology ideas!  One of your best resources will be other teachers!  If they are willing to share, pick their brains.  But always be willing to share in return.

  1. Hi it was great meeting you too!!!

I was just wondering how your applying process went before you got your job and long term sub jobs. How many places did you apply?? How many interviews did you get?? How did you go about following up with everything??

    1. Well I was only looking locally because I was getting married and knew I would be living in Dundee. If you can relocate and are willing, I say do it:) So I was pretty limited to where I applied. I would just check all of the local school's websites periodically to see if there were any openings. Usually they post them around this time of year. I also submitted my application to any school I was interested in, so they would have it on file. No interview until I came to Bedford, and even that was very very informal. I truly did get lucky:-)

  2. Basically to simplify my questions, what was the process you went through after student teaching?

    Thanks!
